Adam Mitchel Lambert was born on the 29th January 1982, in Indianapolis, Indiana USA, and is a singer and songwriter, who is probably best recognized as the runner-up in season eight of the singing competition show “American Idol”. He has released three studio albums –“For Your Entertainment”, “Trespassing” and “The Original High”. He is also known as an actor.
Adam Lambert spent his childhood with a younger brother in San Diego, California, where he was raised by his father, Eber Lambert, who works as a program manager at Novatel Wireless, and his mother, Leile Lambert, who is a dental hygienist. At the age of nine, Adam started performing as a member of the Metropolitan Educational Theatre network (now MET2), and then joined the Broadway Bound Youth Theatre Foundation. He went to Mesa Verde Middle School, and then attended Mount Carmel High School, where he was a part of the school’s jazz band, which participated in various competitions such as the local Air Bands. Moreover, he also appeared in local stage productions including “Peter Pan”, “Hello, Dolly!” and “Grease”, among many others. Upon matriculation in 2000, he enrolled into California State University, Fullerton; however, he quit after a month to move to Los Angeles, California and start pursuing a career in the world of music.
Career Beginnings
At the age of 19, Adam Lambert started performing on a cruise ship with Anita Mann Productions. When he returned, Adam performed in light opera in Orange Country, California, then in 2003, he went on tour with the cast of the musical “Hair”, after which he starred in Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) production of “Brigadoon”, and the Kodak Theatre’s production of “The Ten Commandments: The Musical”. He was eventually chosen to portray Fiyero in the musical “Wicked”, through 2008. Concurrently, Adam became more active in the music industry, as he was the frontman of The Citizen Vein, an underground rock band. The title song was co-written with Pharrell Williams, which also topped on the Billboard Hot Dance Singles Sales chart, while his second single, entitled “Never Close Our Eyes” was written by Bruno Mars.

Speaking about his collaboration with the rock band Queen, which consists of Brian May, John Deegan and Roger Taylor, it started in November of 2011, when he became the lead singer of the band at the MTV Europe Music Awards. Their first full concert was in Kiev in 2012, after which they toured in Moscow and London. During the following year, they performed in Las Vegas, and then went on to tour North America in the summer of 2014.
