Strecker was born to a doctor father who graduated from Harvard University, and a mother who graduated from Boston College. Taylor grew up in a small town outside of Boston called Cohasset in a Catholic environment and considering that her parents were both virgins when they married, they wanted the same for her. Strecker graduated from Ithaca College’s Park School of Communication, and didn’t have to wait long for her first job in the radio industry.
A career as a Radio Host
Soon after her graduation, a programming Director of SiriusXM discovered Taylor Strecker in New York, and offered her a job at Cosmo Radio in March 2006. Her show “Wake Up with Taylor”, aired every morning from 7 AM to 10 AM, on which Strecker covered various topics in pop culture, and conducted numerous interviews with celebrities such as Channing Tatum, Taylor Kitsch, Selena Gomez, Justin Bieber, Hilary Duff, and Kim Kardashian, among others. After 11 years of “Wake Up with Taylor”, Strecker stopped working on SiriusXM in 2017, and to this day, we don’t know why.
