The Wealth of Katty Kay

How rich is Katty Kay? As of mid-2018, sources inform us of a net worth that is over $3 million, earned through a successful career in broadcast journalism. She’s also written two books including “Womenomics” and “The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance – What Women Should Know”, co-written with other journalists. Early Life and Career Beginnings

Katty actually grew up in Blewbury, Oxfordshire, which was then a part of Berkshire, but as her father was a British diplomat, she also spent time in various countries in the Middle East. Later on she enrolled in Oxford and studied modern languages, learning how to speak Italian as well as French fluently. After completing her studies, she worked in the Bank of England, but soon realized that she wasn’t very interested in a career in economics, and moved to Zimbabwe to work for an aid agency. She was later convinced by friend and fellow journalist Matt Frei that she should try her hand at a journalism career, leading her to join the BBC network in 1990 as their Zimbabwe correspondent, a part of the African section of the BBC World Service. After serving in that capacity for around a year, she returned to London to work with BBC World Service Radio.
