Born Lee Arthur Horsley on the 15th of May 1955, he is an American actor who became known for his appearances in the film “The Sword and the Sorcerer”, and the TV series “Paradise.” He recently gained further fame as part of the star-studded movie “The Hateful Eight.”

Lee Horsley’ Early Life

Horsley was born in Muleshoe, Texas, but spent most of his time growing up in Denver, Colorado, where he attended Englewood High School, matriculating in 1973, meantime becoming an expert horseman and outdoorsman, and training professionally in musical theater.

Lee Horsley’s Career

Horsley’s career subsequently started in theater, in a variety of stage productions including “West Side Story”, “Oklahoma!”, and “Damn Yankees.” His early years as a theater actor helped establish his career and also his net worth. In 1981, Horsley debuted on television, appearing in the show “Nero Wolfe” playing the character of Archie Goodwin. The following year he appeared in the television movie “The Wild Women of Chastity Gulch”, a western comedy in which he played the role of Captain John Cain.

Horsley achieved a breakthrough in his career when he became part of the movie “The Sword and the Sorcerer” in 1982, playing the role of Prince Talon, the leader of a small band of soldiers who eventually save the entire kingdom. After playing Prince Talon, Horsley went back to television and starred in the series “Matt Houston” in which he played the titular role from 1982 to 1985. After appearing in various TV movies including “Single Women Married Men”, “The Face of Fear” and “Palomino”, he once again starred in a series, entitled “Paradise’, playing the role of Ethan Allen Cord, the gunfighter who became an instant father after his sister left him with her four children when she died.

The show also became one of his most memorable works, and ran from 1988 to 1991. He also appeared in the series “Bodies of Evidence” from 1992 to 1993 and “Hawkeye” from 1994 to 1995. These successes on television also helped significantly in raising his net worth.


In terms of his works in films, Horsley has also had a handful of great roles through the years. Some of the movies he has appeared in include “Dismembered” in 2003”, “Showdown at Area 51” in 2007, and “Tales of an Ancient Empire” in 2010 in which he reprised his role of Prince Talon.
