She was eventually promoted, and had more notable tasks such as becoming a reporter as well as a news editor for the Fox News website, and then doing on-air broadcasting too. In 2011, she joined the ranks of the Fox Business Network, becoming a business news reader during the long running radio show hosted by Don Imus – “Imus in the Morning”. She also became a regular panelist on the program “Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfield” on the Fox News Channel, a late night/early morning satirical talk show discussing the latest in pop culture, politics, entertainment, religion, business, and sports.
Macedo later moved to WCBS on which she became a weekend morning anchor of WCBS-TV based in New York City. She stayed there for a few years until eventually announcing her departure from the company in 2016, moving on to ABC News and becoming the co-anchor of “America This Morning”, an early morning television news program featuring national and international news headlines. Diane also became the co-anchor of “World News Now” which is an overnight weekday news program. Aside from these shows, she also serves as a fill-in pop news anchor during the weekends of “Good Morning America”.
