Born Antonia “Toya” Johnson, on the 26th of October, 1983, Antonia Wright is an American television personality, author, and entrepreneur who became known as rapper Lil Wayne’s former wife. She also became known for appearing in the reality television show “Tinya and Tonya” and “Toua: A Family Affair.”
Antonia Wright’s Early Life
Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Wright is the daughter of Anita Johnson-Andrews and Walter Andrews. She also has four other siblings namely Josh Johnson, Casey Johnson, Rudy Johnson, and Walter Johnson Jr.
At the age of 12, Wright met Lil Wayne when she was just standing at a corner and the rapper just happened to see her. The two immediately struck a connection even at a young age and at 14, she became pregnant with Wayne’s child. When she was 15 and Wayne was 16, she gave birth to their daughter Regina Carter in November 29, 1998.
The two delayed their marriage as Wayne decided to pursue his career and music first to be able to support their family. Wright, on the other hand, decided to support Wayne and in February 14, 2004 they eventually got married. Unfortunately, their separated in 2006 but continued to be friends and raised their daughter together.

Wright easily became popular when Lil Wayne’s career was catapulted to stardom. But even after they broke up, she continued with her own career and was able to make a name for herself.
In 2009, Wright starred in the reality series “Tiny and TOya” alongside Tameka Cottle. The series became a huge hit in the network BET and became one of its highly-rated shows. Although it only aired until 2011, the show’s success helped catapult her to fame and also increased her net worth tremendously.
