Oona Laurence is born in New York City, and is the oldest of three children. Although not much is known about her parents, her two other sisters, Aimee and Jete, are also actresses just like her.Laurence started acting at a very young age and began appearing in various stage productions as early as 2009. She also received a dance scholarship to the Harkness Center for Dance.
