With Sydney the lead vocalist, Echosmith recorded songs such as “Lights”, originally by Ellie Goulding, and “Set Fire to the Rain”, by Adele, and drew attention to the band, and with the help of their father who is their manager and producer, the Echosmith soon struck a recording deal with Warner Bros. They started recording their own songs and slowly started releasinga steady stream of singles, while also performing at various gigs across the USA. It was in June 2013 that the band performed free at a Warner Bros. Records in Burbank, CA concert, streamed simultaneous through Echosmith’s YouTube channel. They toured the whole summer that year across the USA and Canada as well, and it was in October that the band released their debut album “Talking Dreams”, which reached No. 38 on the Billboard 200 chart, while it topped the US Heatseekers chart, launching Sydney and the band to stardom.
