Born Jonathan Frederick Togo on the 25th August 1977, in Rockland, Massachusetts USA, he is an actor, perhaps best known to the world as Ryan Wolfe in the TV crime-drama series “CSI: Miami” (2004-2012), and also as Jonathan in the TV series “Special Unit 2” from 2001 to 2002, among many other roles he has secured so far in his career.
Jonathan Togo Bio: Early Life, Family, and Education
Jonathan, of Italian, Irish, and Jewish ancestry, is the son of Sheila, a housewife and visual merchant who now runs a booth at the SoWa Open Market located in Boston, entitled Simply Sheila, and her husband Michael Togo, who is a commercial artist and a former graphic designer who worked for the Boston Globe. He went to a Hebrew school, and matriculaed from Rockland High School. During his high school days, Jonathan was a wrestler but hasn’t practiced since finishing high school. Before attending college, Jonathan was a part of the “Project Contemporary Competitiveness, Advanced Study Program” from 1991 to 1992, while in 1996 he was the proctor of the course. He enrolled at Vassar College, from which he obtained a BA degree in theater; he didn’t stop there as he continued his studies at the National Theater Institute of the Eugene O’Neill Theater.
Career Beginnings
During his college days, Jonathan was a musician, and a member of the band The El Conquistadors, also comprised of Sam Endicott and John Conway, who later became part of the band The Bravery. After that, Jonathan started appearing in plays, including the “Our Country’s Good” among others, before he made his screen debut in 2001 as Jonathan in the TV action-drama series “Special Unit 2”. He then had a minor role in the TV series “Judging Amy”, and portrayed Pete in the Academy Award-winning crime-drama film “Mystic River”, starring Sean Penn, Tim Robbins and Kevin Bacon. After another string of minor roles, Jonathan made his breakthrough with the role of Ryan Wolfe in the TV series “CSI: Miami”.

Chosen for the part of a lab technician, Jonathan’s character was introduced in the third season of the series; at first, he wasn’t welcomed, but as the series progressed, Jonathan’s character became rather likable by other characters in the series.
